![]() Note that the sprinklers will put out the fires in the fireplaces, so they will need to be re-lit if needed. ![]() They give a nice, warm glow through the frosted windows at night, and are worth it just for aesthetics.) It's best to do all the planting in warm-ish weather, just as IRL, but that requires scheduling your planting around the seasons, and therefore more planning than you probably want to do. (I'm not sure the fireplaces really necessary, though haven't tested it. The other caveat is that when planting in cold weather, the new plants will initially be dormant, but they'll become active again in about one sim-day, at least if the fireplaces are lit. The only drawback is that Sims get the "unfinished room" moodlet when inside the greenhouse. All the other gardening interactions can then proceed normally. After my gardener has done the planting, I rebuild the wall to make the interior "inside". ![]() When planting needs to be done, I go into build mode, knock out one wall to make the interior "outside". I've also put a simple fireplace in each corner, and auto-watering sprinklers. It's a two-storey building with no floors, a regular roof, and windows and glass doors everywhere. The way I'm dealing with it right now is to build my own psuedo-greenhouse.
